Delete it from the app
This is the fastest way, and it takes about thirty seconds.
- Open the RoomFinderAI app and sign in.
- Tap Profile in the bottom tab bar.
- Scroll down and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account is closed immediately.
Delete it by email
If you cannot get into the app — a lost password, a phone you no longer have —
email us and we will do it for you.
- Write to support@roomfinderai.com from the email address on the account.
- Put “Delete my account” in the subject line.
- We verify that the request came from the account holder, then delete it within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove:
- Your name, email address and profile details
- Your account credentials
- Room listings you posted, and the photos attached to them
- Your roommate and sublease posts
- Your saved and favourited rooms
- Your conversations with the AI negotiator
What is kept, and why
-
Messages you sent to other people stay in the other person's inbox,
shown without your profile attached. We cannot delete something from someone else's
conversation, in the same way an email you have already sent stays in the recipient's mailbox.
-
Records we are required to keep — anything we must retain to comply with the
law, resolve a dispute, or enforce our terms — are kept for as long as that obligation lasts
and are then deleted.
-
Backups. Deleted data can survive in encrypted backups for up to 90 days
before those backups roll over. It is not accessible in the product during that time.
Deleting some of your data without closing your account
You do not have to delete the whole account to remove things. In the app you can delete an
individual listing, a roommate or sublease post, or a conversation, and keep the account itself.
If you want a specific piece of data removed and cannot find how,
email support@roomfinderai.com and ask.
This cannot be undone
Deleting your account is permanent. We cannot restore a deleted account, its listings or its
messages, and signing up again with the same email address creates a new, empty account.
